Lucy's Information!

The "star" of the show, Lucy!

  Well, I'm kind of surprised by all of the activity that has taken place because of a friend's post.  Honestly, it's very encouraging to see people getting motivated about their faith.  I've also received some comments by those of you who like to do the name calling thing.  Oh well, it comes with the territory.  Here I'll document some of what was said about this supposed evolutionary ancestor.

  Here's what I told the leaders that I had the opportunity to share with about "Lucy".  She is depicted as an upright walking missing link with:

     1.  Human Hands
     2.  Human Feet
     3.  Human Knee
     4.  Human Hips
     5.  Human Eyes

   In order to talk about these claims what I normally do is show folks photographs and video of the actual evidence. By the way, I don't use "Christian" video.  I use clips from the secular programs to back up what I'm saying.

   I will attempt to show you via these pages that thier claims are not supported by the  actual 'observational' evidence and that a LOT of artistic interpretation is being used to support their interpretation. 

  For example, look at the actual fossil evidence that was found for Lucy to the left.  That's what was found.  So, the question is how did they get from that, to the picture below and does the evidence support that reconstruction?

  We'll comment specifically on each of the claims and show, to the best of my ability, the actual evidence.  You can be the judge and see if I'm lying as I've been accused by a couple of folks so far.

    Since I can't show you all of the video clips to back up my position on some of what I'll write, I'll quote from the transcript of the NOVA program "In Search of Human Origins" with Dr. Don Johanson.  You can see the transcript for yourself here.  I'll also show various images from a number of sources.  I will try and show the clips as well, I'm just not sure how long they will stay online.
